ANC CONDEMNS UDM-ASSASSINATION IN CAPE TOWN

THE AFRICAN NATIONAL CONGRESS condemns in the strongest terms the incident in which a leader of the United Democratic Movement (UDM) has been shot dead last night in In his reaction, Mr Mcebisi Skwatsha, Provincial Secretary, said:

"We hope the incident is not related to what is happening in KwaZulu-Natal. If so, it has to be nipped in the bud immediately.

The province already suffers under a wave of intimidation by fundamentalist urban terrorists and we cannot allow any more battlefields and "no-go zones".

"The ANC also expresses its condolences to the friends and family of the late Mr Vulindlela Michael Matiyase.
