ANC WCape calls on National government and the public to assist in Imizamo Yethu

ANC Western Cape calls on the National government Department and the broader public to support Imizamo Yethu fire Victims in the process of rebuilding their lives.

ANC Western Cape cares for the people of Imizamo Yethu and feels for those who have lost all their possession and homes should be supported with material to rebuild their homes. ANC Provincial Secretary Faiez Jacobs visited the community and engaged community leadership. He committed to ensuring the relevant National Authorities will assist victims of the fire.

The ANC calls on the public to assist with food, clothing and other essentials. It further calls on on the public to assist with school clothes for learners affected by the fire and for information relating to sizes and they can call the ANC Parliamentary Constituency Office in Imizamo Yethu on 0217908704 during office hours. We call on the Department of Home affairs to assist people who have lost their ID`s urgently.

It further calls on the city of Cape Town to fast track the housing development earmarked for the Imizamo Yethu because it believes in doing so it will decrease the density in the informal housing in the township of Imizamo Yethu in Hout Bay.
